SERVICES:

Organizing Consultation:

Not sure where to start? Most larger scale projects (2+ rooms/spaces) begin with a consultation, where I come to your home and we walk through the spaces you want to work on,discuss your goals and wishes for the finished product, and I take measurements of each space. I will then provide a list of items and organizing materials needed for the scope of the project such as containers, labels, bins, shelving, etc. to be ordered and on site on the project day(s).

*Sourcing for any additional scope not discussed during the consultation is not included and will be billed hourly separately.

*If the consultation is waived, any time spent sourcing items will be billed hourly (typically 2-3 hrs per project)

General Organizing:

How does this all work? Organizing your clutter can feel daunting and overwhelming, but luckily, you don’t have to tackle it alone! Typically, I will begin by removing all of the items from the zone that we’re working on (i.e. pulling everything out of the pantry, or removing all of the clothes from your closet) so that I can categorize them. Now we have a blank slate! Then, you and I will go through the items category-by-category to decide what you want to keep, get rid of, or donate. This “editing” step is usually the only part of the process that you’ll need to really be hands-on or focused, aside from occasionally answering questions that inevitably arise. Then, I will re-organize everything into containers and bins, arrange them neatly and label them so that you can maintain all of your hard work.

Maintenance:

Upon request, at the end of a project, I’m happy to provide an encyclopedic guide for you to reference when you can’t remember where something has ended up. After we’ve revamped and organized your home, it may feel like the hard work is done. If you’re really great at following and maintaining systems, and you remember to put things back where they came from when you’re done using them, fantastic! However, regardless of how tidy you are, it’s not uncommon for things to get disorderly again even if they’re neatly labeled and well-organized. For this reason, I offer follow up maintenance visits to zhuzh (yep!), tidy, and reorganize any areas that have accumulated an undesirable level of clutter. These sessions will be billed hourly and can be scheduled quarterly, bi-yearly, or whenever you feel like you could use one. Maintaining organization can be the hardest part, and though I will do my best to leave you with the tools to do so, life is messy and I’m happy to help get things back in order (again and again!).
